IPA Travel Bureau


A new draw known as the "Friendship Draw" was established in 2006 to replace the "Holiday Draw".

The monthly draw was discontinued by motion at NC 2005 (Castlebar) and giving the NEC the task of organising a replacement.

  • The new draw is known as the "Friendship Draw"

  • Draw carried out in January each year and winners will be randomly selected (from the IPA membership list) by computer

  • 6 (six) IPA Members will be selected to attend a Friendship Week or Event over the following 12 months

  • The prize will be for the member and partner

  • Flights and accommodation costs as outlined in the Friendship Week / Event programme will be borne by IPA Section Ireland

  • Friendship Weeks or Event will be picked by IPA Section Ireland

  • Prize-winners will be notified of their win and will be requested to indicate their acceptance on receipt of the notification

  • Non-reply, within one month of notification or prize-winner unable to participate, a further draw will take place

  • Each prize-winner will be invited to submit a short report of the event on their return for future publication in the IPA JOURNAL and/or WEBSITE

  • A cash allocation from central funds to the amount of €15,000 will be allocated to this draw

Not Covered:

  • Travel to from airport/ seaport within Ireland

  • Travel Insurance

  • Personal Entertainment Expenses

  • Additional days outside the Friendship Week/Event

  • No cash in lieu of prize will be offered
